The Bridger Herd
Our first herd is named for the Bridger Mountains where they roam and naturally feed on native grass pastures and water from fresh mountain springs. Our herd is conveniently located on the North Bridger Bison Ranch which is nestled in the beautiful Shields River Valley between the Bridger and Crazy Mountains, 70 miles from our Big Sky headquarters. All of the animals in this herd were procured from a single source in Choteau, MT and are top quality breeder animals proven to produce and perform well on native grass pasture. This herd is cow/calf production herd with a cow to bull ratio of 15:1. Approximately 40 of the 2/12 year old heifers were verified to be pregnant at the most recent roundup in December 2018, we look forward to seeing 35-40 new bison calves in the summer of 2019.
Seeking Additional Rangeland to expand our Herd
